Dennis Stevens is a New York City-based writer and multimedia producer whose research engages the hybrid intersections of art, craft and design. He has a background as a studio educator, a critic, an object maker and as a former gallery owner. Stevens’ work offers interpretive understanding with respect to how individuals make meaning within creative communities and also through the broader expression of themselves as creative individuals. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Art and Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University; a Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Instructional Technology from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from Clemson University.
