Nicole Burisch
Nicole Burisch is a Canadian artist, critic, curator, and cultural worker. Her practice focuses on contemporary craft and craft theory and she has published, exhibited, and presented on this topic in Canada and internationally. Her collaborative research with Anthea Black is included in new publications The Craft Reader (Berg) and Extra/ordinary: Craft and Contemporary Art (Duke University Press). Additionally her writing has been published by The New Gallery, Truck Contemporary Art in Calgary, the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts, and Ceramics Art and Perception. Burisch worked as the Director of the Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival from 2007-2009 and is the co-founder of the online arts publication Shotgun-Review.ca.
